Laptop Case

Earlier this fall I decided that I wanted to get back into sewing.  It had been years since I broke out my sewing machine and *created* something and I got the "itch" to do it again.  I signed up for an online sewing class:  

This class was TERRIFIC!!  Every day for 3 weeks they posted a new project.  One of my favorites was the laptop case:

Not only is this absolutely adorable, it is functional and was *easy peasy* to make!  

On another note:  WOW - the wind is really blowing today!!  Southern California is now under a wind advisory and boy, this is total fire weather....keeping fingers crossed and saying a big time prayer that NO fires happen today :)  

 

 

 

 

Aprons

I discovered a cute little quilting shop in Yorba Linda called Threaded Pear Studio.  They have the most beautiful fabrics there - although I must admit that I am not a quilter!!  I went with my friend Sarah to check it out and I found a cute pattern called Apron-a-Go-Go.  You can find the pattern here:  www.threadedpear.com

I am addicted to making these cute little aprons.  You can whip them up in about 15-20 minutes.

Baby Cloche

Yesterday I woke up and decided that I wanted to make a baby hat for a baby shower that I am going to in a couple weeks for one of my cousins.  I found this cute little hat and decided to try out my crocheting skills!  The tutorial was simple to follow - I highly recommend it!
